General Terms and Conditions and Small Animal Boarding Terms & Conditions
Terms and Conditions of Alleycats Premier Cat Services
1) Alleycats can only be held accountable and be held responsible for any services for what we are being paid for and between the times and days that we are being paid for doing the service
( We can't be held responsible for anything that occurs outside of the times agreed or any services between the business and the customer. )
2) If for any reason we are unable to do the service or services for any reason e.g vehicle off road , illness or any other unfortunate situation e.g snow / ice etc , we will try our hardest to contact you ( the customer ) in good time and see if we can come to a alternative day to re-schedule the appointment with you.
3) Alleycats Premier Cat Services prides itself on caring for your pet(s) as we would do our own, however, the client must ensure they provide all necessities to enable us to appropriately care for your pet(s). This includes (but is not limited to) food, water, bowls, bedding, flea/worm treatment, litter trays, etc.
(b) While every effort is made to leave your home in a clean and tidy state, Alleycats Premier Cat Services cannot be held responsible for any mess left behind by your pet(s), such as mud, dirt, urine, faeces, vomit, etc.
(c) Alleycats Premier Cat Services cannot be held responsible for any damage your pet(s) cause to your home and/or belongings.
(d) Alleycats Premier Cat Services is insured in the event that your pet is injured as a result of negligence while in our care, however, we cannot accept responsibility for any accident or injury that befalls your pet that we could not have prevented. For this reason, we recommend that all clients have their own pet insurance.
(f) Should an animal become ill or injured while in our care, we will always take them to your preferred veterinary surgeon or, in the event of an emergency, the nearest veterinary surgeon to our location. It will be the responsibility of the client to ensure all veterinary fees are paid in full.
(g) It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that their pet(s) are microchipped/tagged where appropriate and that the contact details are kept up-to-date.
(h) For overnight pet sitting bookings, a clean bedroom and bathroom must be provided for the pet sitter’s use. To ensure the health of our staff, we can only accept overnight pet sitting bookings in non-smoking homes.
- Payment Terms
(a) Payment for long distance pet sitting and pet taxi services is required in advance.
(b) Double rate will be charged for any services required on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday and any other Bank Holidays recognized in the United Kingdom.
(c) A Out of hours charge will be applied to any pet visits required after 6pm.
- Cancellation Policy
(a) All pet sitting and pet taxi services cancelled by the client with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged at full rate and will not be entitled to a refund.
(a) In order to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that came into effect on 25th May 2018, it is our duty to inform all clients that Alleycats Premier Cat Services holds the following information about them:
- Name, address, telephone number and e-mail address of client
- Name(s) of pets, breed details, and whether they are microchipped, insured, neutered and vaccinated
- Emergency contact details
- Veterinary surgeon’s details
(b) This information is held by Alleycats Premier Cat Services purely for the purposes of conducting their business as pet sitters/pet transport etc and is not passed to third parties in any way.
Terms and Conditions of Small Animal Boarding
Only healthy pets are accepted.
Rabbits must be vaccinated against myxomatosis. We require you to bring a current vaccination certificate against Myxomatosis and VHD upon arrival.
Pre-existing medical conditions must be disclosed upon booking. If your pet does have a medical condition, details of the condition and treatment required must also be given.
Our Rabbit and Guinea Pig hutches are cleaned and disinfected between guests.
In the unlikely event your pet should become sick, we will transport your pet to the local vet, however, all costs will be in the owners name and address and will be the responsibility of the owner.
Sadly small animals can succumb to illness and sometimes pass away very suddenly. If this does happen, we will contact you immediately to discuss your wishes should your pet pass away in our care. Alleycats can accept no liability in the event of your pets passing away while in our care.
Payment must be made in advance of your pets stay, payment details will be confirmed upon booking.
We reserve the right to charge an additional fee for dry feed purchased if you do not provide adequate feed to cover the length of your pets stay.
If you collect your pet earlier than the departure date stated on your booking confirmation, you are still liable for the full amount of your pets stay.
We are a small boarding business and cannot guarantee extensions of stay will be granted. Any extensions of stay will be chargeable at current daily prices.
For cancellation with more than 7 day's notice, no cancellation fee will apply.
For cancellation with 6 day's notice or less, a 50% cancellation fee will apply.
Small animal boarding does not require a license or have the same rules and regulations as large animal boarding like dogs or cats. All animals are left with Alleycats are at their owners risk. We also take no responsibility for pregnancies.
Animal insurance is the responsibility of the pet owner. At Alleycats we do not accept liability for accident, injury, illness, theft and death. We also do not cover against public liability and also take no responsibility for pregnancies.
In placing a booking with Alleycats , you agree that you have read and accept our terms and conditions in full.
For all boarders, a boarding contract must be signed by you, which confirms your acceptance of our Terms & Conditions. You will also be asked to complete a Form, giving us details about your individual pet/s and their needs, routine, habits, likes and dislike
